Washington State University (WSU) – Two Endowed Chair Positions in Tree Fruit Systems:
i) Soil and Rhizosphere Ecology (position 121694);
ii) Postharvest Systems (position 125013).
The College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resources Sciences (CAHNRS) seeks dynamic, current or emerging leaders in tree fruit systems to serve as core members of our tree fruit research and extension team.
Each Chair is supported by a $2M endowment created by the Washington State Tree Fruit Industry as part of a generous $32M gift to WSU to enhance capacity in tree fruit research and extension.
The incumbents will pursue both basic and applied research in the respective areas of focus leading to improved orchard productivity, profitability and sustainability.
Both positions are open rank (assistant, associate or professor) and eligible for tenure at the time of hire in the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences (CSS, soils position) or Horticulture (postharvest position).
