This Code governs the naming of all organisms treated as being plants, but in its Article 28 it states that "additional, independent designations for special categories of plants used in agriculture, forestry, and horticulture" are dealt with in the International Code of Nomenclature for Cultivated Plants. The Botanical Code deals with the naming of hybrids in its Appendix I.
