Woven plastic coverings have good mechanical and physical characteristics, better durability than most other plastic materials. However transmission of sunlight is the most important characteristics for any covering material. Optical properties of three woven films were determined in laboratory by means of integrating sphere in accordance with relevant standards. Results showed that all tested films had a high absorptance for the UV-radiation. Clear film allowed a higher transmittance for the PAR and NIR among other tested materials. All tested materials had a relatively higher reflectance due to their specific structure. Spectral data obtained from outside were in agreement with laboratory measurements. All tested materials altered solar radiation distribution by restriction of UV in the 300-400 nm wave band.
