The historic Traituba Farm in the XIX century: cultural and economical focus of landscape transformations
The present study had as objective to conduct a historical review of the Traituba Farm, located in the municipality of Cruzília-MG, demonstrating the transformations of the landscape on cultural focus and its main activities in the first decades of existence.
Also, identifying the Traituba Farm representation in the collective unconscious of the regionRSQUOs inhabitants.
For that, visits, interviews, bibliographic and iconographic researches using a methodology of an interface between inventive and subjective analysis were performed.
At the end, a compilation and data organization was performed.
The Traituba Farm has always been owned by Portuguese descendants of the Junqueira family and presented a major economic development during the 19th century.
This place was a very busy place, influencing other farms and people in its surroundings.
