The ANOVApot® and Twinpot reduce root escape and save water
The ANOVApot® is a new patented pot (container) for the plant nursery industry, with innovative features of root and water control.
The Twinpot is a nested arrangement of two ANOVApot®s.
This overview describes the unique design features of the ANOVApot® and presents key results highlighting the performance of the ANOVApot® and the Twinpot.
Compared with a conventional bottom-holed pot, the ANOVApot® increases water retention on average by 36-39% without water-logging, and greatly restricts roots from escaping the base of the pot.
Increased water retention of GROTERDAN2 fold is achieved by the Twinpot and external root escape eliminated, making the Twinpot a valid alternative to Pot-in-Pot systems.
ANOVApot® prices are about 10% more than for current alternatives.
