INTRODUCTION
Trees are an important and very valuable component of our urban landscapes. In a civic sense, they:
  • Help reduce air temperatures
  • Reduce electricity consumption (which in turn reduces the use of coal and demands on water)
  • Sequester carbon
  • Prolong the life of asphalt
  • Improve the amenity value of our streets
  • Help reduce storm-water runoff and much more.
