The occurrence and control to strawberry anthracnose in China
Strawberry anthracnose is a serious fungus disease caused by Colletotrichum fragariae Brooks, C. acutatum and C. gloeosporioides (Penz.) Penz. et Sacc.
Donggang City located in Liaoning Province, northeast China has been the biggest strawberry production base in China for a long time.
Anthracnose has become one of the main diseases in recent years along with some Japanese strawberry cultivars being grown as main cultivars in Donggang city.
The strawberry yield may decrease by 30% in some years when infection is serious, which led to a great loss to strawberry farmers.
The occurrence and control measures of anthracnose were observed and examined.
Under the condition of high temperature and high humidity, strawberry anthracnose would burst and result in a devastating loss in a short time in nursery.
The strawberry leaf, runner, petiole, petal and fruit could be infected by anthracnose.
The disease was prevented and controlled mainly by selecting disease resistant cultivars, disinfecting soil, growing strong plants, fertilizing rationally and spraying fungicides.
The control key of strawberry anthracnose was to prevent timely in nursery.
The mixture fungicide of prochloraz + streptomycin + organic silicon showed a better control effect in our test.
