AN OVERVIEW OF ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS AFFECTING ORCHARD GROWTH REGULATOR RESPONSE WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO APPLES
Light, temperature and relative humidity have been reported to affect growth regulator (G.R.) activity.
Various GR chemicals respond differently to these environmental conditions in different plant tissues.
Orchard responses of daminozide, ethephon, fenoprop, NAA (1-naphthylacetic acid) NAA m (1-naphthytacetamide), carbaryl and 'Promalin' (gibberellin A4 A7 + 6-benzylamino purine) are discussed in relation to varying environmental conditions in North Carolina.
