Effectiveness of fungicides in control of yellow rust (Phragmidium rubi-idaei)

The effectiveness of fungicide programmes aimed at control of yellow rust (Phragmidium rubi-idaei (DC) Karst.) was evaluated in the period 2016-2017 at a private raspberry orchard in East Poland. The research was conducted for the primocane-fruiting cultivar 'Polka'. Five protectant programmes were compared, based on two fungicide applications in May/June with an interval of 18 days. Applications were carried out during the vegetative growth of primocanes and before blooming. The first application occurred at the onset of the disease. The following treatments were evaluated: 1) Zato 50 WG (trifloxystrobin) (twice at 0.2 kg ha‑1), 2) Luna Sensation 500 SC (fluopyram + trifloxystrobin) (twice at 0.8 L ha‑1), 3) and Serenade ASO (Bacillus subtilis) (twice at 5 L ha‑1), 4) Zato 50 WG (trifloxystrobin) (once at 0.2 kg ha‑1) and Serenade ASO (Bacillus subtilis) (once at 5 L ha‑1), and 5) Luna Experience 400 SC (fluopyram + tebuconazole) (twice at 0.6 L ha‑1). The results showed that the highest effectiveness in both years was reached with the treatment Luna Experience 400 SC.
