Jujube is a plant of the Rhamnaceae family, which is derived from China. It has been planted for at least 7,000 years. Jujube is cultivated in many places, such as America and Europe. It integrates both edible and medicinal functions. Jujube not only has economic value, but also has very high value in medicinal properties. There are many active ingredients in jujube fruit, such as hydroxybenzene, polysaccharides, flavonoids, triterpenic acids, which can play a variety of biological activities. Therefore, the analysis of jujube fruit has gradually become extensive and in-depth.in this paper, the main functional components of jujube fruits are listed and summarized, and their activities are illustrated with examples, in order to provide reference for future research on jujube fruits.
