Flora analysis of shrub plants in 32 Hunan natural parks and its application potential on gardens
Field survey and data collection of wild shrubs in 32 natural parks in Hunan Province have been conducted.
The result shows: there are 94 families, 290 genera, 1135 species of shrubs in the region, including 4 families, 6 genera and 9 species of gymnosperms, 90 families, 284 genera and 1126 species of angiosperms.
The wild shrub floras in this region have temperate and subtropical vegetation characteristics.
Among them, the families are mainly distributed in the pan-tropical area and all over the world, respectively, accounting for 30 and 20% of the total families.
Among them, the genera are distributed in pan-tropical, tropical Asia (India-Malaysia) and northern temperate zones, respectively accounting for 20.88, 10.31 and 9.14% of the total genera.
The wild shrubs in this region were screened and classified according to the ornamental value and the different types of ornamental parts in the garden plants.
