ROLE OF THE INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH CO-OPERATION IN SOLVING APRICOT PROBLEMS
It was suggested by the Section for Fruits that some Working Groups should cease to exist or had to be or short existence and organized only for fulfilment of a definite purpose, such as gathering of some data or organizing meetings. Meanwhile, our Working Group has the statute of a permanent body like the Working Group on Nomenclature and Registration of Fruit Cultivars.
Why? Because of the following:
- The complex nature of the sudden wilting of apricot tress.
- Lack of systematic investigation of the apricot problems.
- Lack of sufficient peoples to cover all necessary apricot problems and research projects.
- Need of scientific and practical solutions for further
