THE INFLUENCE OF REJUVENESCENT PRUNING UPON GROWTH AND SETTING OF FLOWER BUDS IN RAKOVSKY APRICOT TREES ON APRICOT SEEDLING ROOTSTOCKS

T. Malík
Apricot trees possess a great regenerating ability; therefore, a number of authors recommend to perform rejuvenescent pruning /P.G.Šitt, J.Lösching/. The aim of our work was to ascertain the effect of rejuvenescent pruning, carried out in winter, spring or post-harvest period, upon the total growth of summer shoots, upon the formation of secondary shoots and flower bud setting.
