PEAT BAGS AS GROWING SUBSTRATES FOR GREENHOUSE TOMATOES AND CUCUMBERS

L. Kurki
In an unshaded greenhouse at a latitude of 60°N, with the conditions of the greenhouse air and plant temperatures so regulated that evaporation is continous throughout the day, placing most of the nutrients, changing the air in the substrate and watering sufficiently without water-logging will provide an increase in tomato and cucumber yields on peat beds as well as on peat bags VPS-453.
