FIELD STUDIES ON STOMATAL CONDUCTANCE AS INDEX OF PLANTS RESPONSE TO ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

With the aim of clarifying the physiological significance of growth analysis parameters two growth functions, for different development periods, of sorghum grown under two irrigation regimes were calculated. Stomatal conductance seems to be a good predictor of the effects on growth and development of soil water availability.
