ORGANIZATION OF WORK IN GREENHOUSE PRODUCTION WITH THE HELP OF THE NETWORK PLANNING TECHNIQUE
- preparatory phase, i.e. ensuring the production sector with machines, fertilizers, auxiliary materials, etc.;
- time coordination of the working processes;
- assuring the necessary transport;
- expedience in carrying out sorting, preparing for expedition, and packing;
- delivering products to the consumer.
The expedient organization of the production processes requires a clear view of the structure of the particular process, in respect to time and space. The proceeding of production in respect to time, i.e. the duration of the productive cycle is represented and calculated, among others, with the help of the network planning technique. Moreover, the over-all process of greenhouse production should involve the following time schedule:
- the time required for the management and control of working procedures;
- time necessary for naturally running processes;
- the time during which the production processes are to be discontinued, due to technical reasons;
- idem, due to reasons of organization.
Since greenhouse production of cucumbers requires great expenditure of materials, in organizing the working processes (and production as a whole) the special measures taken towards the regular supply and transportation of these materials, are of primary concern. In respect to the preparatory work, too, the organization is to be carried out in accordance with the same new type of operational research.
The adoption of the network planning technique in the greenhouse productive processes ensures a considerable economy of time, and a great deal of time reserves are disclosed. The advantages in applying the net planning technique are so much greater, as the production processes and the interweaving of the working operations become more and more complicated, as well as when the cooperative relationships acquire a multilateral character.
