THE AFRICAN POTATO ASSOCIATION
APA was formed in September 1983 in Lusaka (Zambia), but the idea of creating this association came as early as 1979 in Nairobi at a training course organised by CIP. The objective of the association is to promote the production and the use of potato as food in Africa.
Headquartered in Madagascar, country of the chairman, the association publishes "APA Newsletter" which facilitates the exchange of experiences and experiments results between members.
APA is seeking for sustaining members to improve its financial situation.
