Z. Pawliczuk, L.B. Orlikowski
In years 1983–86 in Breeding Station of Horticultural Crops in Bronisze 249 clones of carnations obtained from crossing of cultivars Sacha, Pallas, Vahine, Parade, William Sim, Danilo, Caribe, Alec Sparkers, Le Reve as mother plants and Sacha, Pallas, New Arthur Sim, Scania, Vahine, Ember, Caribe were tested. Their tolerance against Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. dianthi was the main purpose of the breeding program and additionaly productivity and flowers quality. From all clones obtained, 138 were classified to the 1–3 tolerance group. After further study only 4 clones with good tolerance, flower yield and quality were chosen. Actual cv. Jurand (10–71), Kmicic (11–36) and 10–42, 11–31 are in tolerance group 2 and are as good productive as William Sim.
