RESEARCH ON SUBSTRATES SUPPRESSIVE TO FUSARIUM OXYSPORUM AND RHIZOCTONIA SOLANI (*)

A. Garibaldi
The effect of several substrates on severity of Fusarium wilt of cyclamen and iris and of Rhizoctonia rot of iris is reported. The results obtained by using antagonistic organisms isolated from a suppressive soil to colonize steam-disinfected substrates are referred. The possible practical application of suppressive substrates is discussed.
