MICROCOMPUTERS IN MICROPROPAGATION

M. Hempel
Increasing scale of in vitro production and the higher and higher number of species and cultivars multiplied in one laboratory cause the production management to be more and more difficult. Difficulties in transformation of this information could be overcome by the application of microcomputers, which has to be programmed for the needs of the particular laboratory. The description of the program enabling:
  • control of production pending: media preparation, management of plant material, labour and materials;
  • control of production parameters: algoritms for different propagation methods, coefficients of different stages of propagation, efficiences of workers, etc;
  • technological and economical production prognostics; is presented.
