The planning is based on gross margin calculations and information about the need of greenhouse space and labour for each crop.
During the planning procedure, a diagram showing the use of greenhouse area is shown on the screen. On this picture, one has an overview of how the greenhouse space is used. The planner chooses the amount of each crop and the greenhouse where it shall be grown. Then, incomes and costs are calculated as well as fuel consumption and labour requirement.
If a budget shall be calculated, information about fixed costs, incomes other than from the selling, taxes and payment periods must be added.
