STANDARD TASKTIMES FOR URBAN COMMUNITIES, OUTDOOR SPORTSFIELDS AND THE COMPOSITION OF WORKBLOCKS
The decrease of governmental budgets together with a large, complex developed areal with mostly young "green" gave many community governments problems with the maintenance of the area's for which they were responsible. Especially the lack of knowledge in management processes and the absence of standards became visible.
Because governments as well as commecial bureaux acknowledged the mutual interest in this matter a working group of both local authorities and commercial executers was formed. The task of this working groep was to develop standards for design, execution and maintenance.
The first action was the analysis of the management process, with an emphasis on the different sorts of "green" and their specific kinds and methods of maintenance. For every single method tasktimes were measured in many sites troughout the country. The book with standard tasktimes which resulted has been revised this year.
Another result of the analysis of methods for maintenance is the composition of "workblocks". Each workblock represents the one-jear maintenance of a specific object. With these workblocks plans in labour or money can easily be made.
