VIRUS STATUS OF TEMPERATE FRUIT IN AUSTRALIA

George D. McLean, P. Revill
Australia is free of many of the virus and mycoplasma diseases occurring in other countries. The Fruit Variety Foundation maintains repositories of fruit varieties that are regularly tested to ensure they are free of viruses. The most prevalent fruit viruses in Australia are apple mosaic, grapevine leafroll, prunus necrotic ringspot and prune dwarf.
