DIVERSIFICATION OF VEGETABLES IN FRANCE, A NECESSITY BUT ALSO OBLIGATIONS
Desired or imposed by national and international circumstances, this diversification has to refer to consumers' expectations and its implementation must be well controled at the level of the production and commercialization firms.
ONIFHLOR contributes to the elaboration of this diversification strategy by supporting regional experimental stations, by developing economic studies at each channel part and by providing help to specific investments. Also, the Office intervenes by setting up agreements between the different channel partners who become involved in a process of diversification.
In the face of the economic stakes to which the vegetable channel has to find a solution, this process could only be successful if real will for exchanges in knowledge and informations is developed by researchers and all channel operators.
