FUNGAL SPECIES ISOLATED ON ORNAMENTAL CROPS IN THE CANARY ISLANDS (1974 TO 1988)
This paper follows work presented at the III S.E.F. (Spanish Phytopathological Society) Congress in 1984. The plant material used came from field consultancies and samples taken in various areas throughout the Islands.
The relationship fungus/disease was established using visual symptoms, laboratory isolations, and standard reference works.
The main fungal species found on ornamental plants are listed in table-form, grouped according to pathogenicity level: direct causal agent; saprophyte-parasite intermediary; saprophytic ability only. the largest group found was that of direct causal agents.
