SEED ENHANCEMENT AS AN AID TO BETTER ESTABLISHMENT

The physiology of seed enhancement techniques is reviewed. Results are presented of a field trial in southern New South Wales in which tomato seed pre-treated for improved germination and establishment, produced a crop of earlier maturity and higher commercial yield than untreated seed.
