THE EFFECT OF SILVER THIOSULPHATE ON TULIP STEM GROWTH INDUCED BY AUXIN

L. Kawa, M. Saniewski
Indole acetic acid (IAA) applied to the middle of the second or third internode after the excision of all leaves and the flower bud promoted the growth of the stem only in the basipetal direction. However, when IAA was applied together with STS the stem growth was stimulated below the place of IAA treatment, and some growth of stem took place above the place of treatment with IAA.
