BULBLET FORMATION FROM THE EXPLANTS OF NERINE BOWDENII W.WATS

E. Mochtak
The influence of different concentrations of cytokinin and auxin, length of first passage in vitro, and excision time on bulblet formation from the twin-scales explants of Nerine bowdenii bulbs was studied. The significant differences in number and size of bulblets were observed. It seems that the best results were obtained when the explants for culture had been excised shortly after bulb harvesting. At that state of bulbs, growth regulators could be omited in culture medium.
