EFFECT OF CYTOKININS ON GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF ANTHURIUM CULTORUM BIRDSEY SHOOT EXPLANTS IN VITRO

U. Soczek, M. Hemoel
The aim of the presented experiment was to study the influence of cytokinins on growth and development of Anthurium x cultorum Birdsey explants in vitro.

The single-node shoot fragments obtained from shoot tips were used in this experiment. The basic medium was supplemented with BAP, kinetin, zeatin and 2iP in various concentrations.

Cytokinins in optimal concentrations stimulated shoot formation and their growth. The higher concentration of cytokinin the bigger growth of callus.
