JASMONATE STIMULATES ETHYLENE EMANATION BY CARNATION FLOWERS

Methyl ester of jasmonic acid stimulates ethylene emanation by carnation flowers when it is put directly on the receptacle. This higher production of ethylene had no effect of flower longevity.
