COMPREHENSIVE RECORDING OF DETERMINANT VARIABLES AND TARGET VALUES IN RESEARCH AS A PRECONDITION FOR YIELD FORMATION CONTROL IN FIELD VEGETABLES

B. Gutezeit, R.-N. Herzog
In a complex of individual plots forming an experimental field model the influence of farming measures (fertilization, sprinkling) and weather factors on three types of soil was examined.

The aim of this research was to provide basic data for computer-assisted crop management.

Comprehensive and partly automatic recording of essential weather and soil-physical factors was carried out. Apart from the manual measuring of stock characteristics, measuring installations for the non-destructive analysis of target values in plants, such as CO2-absorption and fresh mass upgrowth, were used. Selected examples show the reaction of plant stocks to a differentiated supply of mineral nitrogen, water and global radiation.
