EFFECT OF LIGHT QUALITY ON ROOTING OF ‘LECCINO’ OLIVE CUTTINGS
White, red, yellow, green and blue lights were applied separately during the rooting phase of IBA-treated and untreated ‘Leccino’ cuttings.
Yellow light has shown a positive influence on various parameters such as rooting percentage, root length, number of persisting leaves per cutting and has increased bud bursting and shoot development.
Generally, these effects were much more pronounced on IBA-treated cuttings.
