CLONAL SELECTION ON ‘MANZANILLA DE SEVILLA’
Clonal selection on the Spanish main olive cultivar ‘Manzanilla’ has been started to obtain high quality plants in a short time.
Trees were chosen in Sevilla, Córdoba, Cádiz, Huelva and Badajoz regarding to earliness, productivity, regular production, resistance to diseases and/or fruit quality.
Fifty-two clones showing agronomical differences were selected and propagated to establish a comparative orchard and to check their rooting ability by softwood cuttings
