NITROGEN NUTRITION OF SELF-ROOTED OLIVE IN SAND CULTURE. EFFECT OF NH4-N/NO3-N ON GROWTH AND NUTRITIONAL STATUS
The effects of NH4:NO3 ratio on growth and nutritional status of self-rooted olive (cv Maurino) were evaluated using hydroponics system.
Dry matter production increased when the NH4:NO3 ratios were 0.25 and 0.50. On the contrary root/shoot was decreased by using any NH4 concentration.
Nitrogen and phosphorus content, in leaves and roots was increased; cation content, except that K, was sharply lowered.
