INTEGRATED PEST CONTROL IN OLIVE CULTIVATION
The development and diffusion of integrated pest control seems to face considerable difficulties in all the countries of the Mediterranean basin.
Among the principal reasons for its lack of large success are socio/economic factors, tied to the criteria used to define a "pest", and applied factors tied to the definition of the economic injury threshold.
A pest control project, carried out by ENEA, based on the use of diverse, specially prepared computer programs, is here described for the significant, positive advances it has made in Italy.
