STUDIES ON RELATIONSHIPS AMONG DACUS OLEAE INFESTATION, FRUIT REMOVAL-PENETRATION RESISTANCE, AND PHYSICAL CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTIC OF OILS
The fruit removal and penetration force trend of cv Moresca have been studied in relation to the fresh weight of health and infested olives by Dacus oleae preimaginal stages.
The study was carried out during 1987 in Sicily.
Such investigation evidenced how the fruit removal and penetration force are not correlated to Olive fly infestation on drupes: only the latter influences the physical and chemical characteristics of oil.
