THE OLIVE'S MINERAL COMPOSITION AND SOME PARAMETERS OF QUALITY IN FIFTY OLIVE CULTIVARS GROWN IN PORTUGAL
The olive's composition (N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, and B) of fifty olive trees cultivars growing in Portugal were studied through representative samples collected in different regions.
The levels of several elements were correlated with some parameters of quality - fruit's weight, fat content of the fruit (expressed in percentage of the dry matter and original matter), oleic and linoleic acids, bearing mind the index of the coloring of the samples.
