CUT FLOWERS QUALITY POLICY IN FRANCE
Quality research appears necessary in a more and more competitive market.
The aim of such a policy must be the delivery to the buyer of a product with reliable qualities.
Quality resulting from a sequence of different actors along the line, CNIH has written down Specifications comprising what is advisable to maintain the quality of the product.
To be efficient, a quality policy must come with controls.
To this effect, CNIH, together with its scientific partners, has studied controls of silver-salts pre-treatment by atomic absorption spectrophotometrics and microbiology analysis of stem bases.
This last test was carried out on rose production by a group of growers.
These tests results are being discussed, particularly as regards selectivity.
