IN VITRO PROPAGATION OF PEAR CULTIVARS

C. MORETTI, A. SCOZZOLI, D. PASINI, F. PAGANELLI
Pear micropropagation could be a valid technique to produce self-rooted cultivars if early promising results of field performance (Sansavini et al., 1986) are confirmed. Genotypes differ in proliferation and rooting ability and in shoot morphology (leaf size). This experiment was undertaken to improve the micropropagation process of three pear cultivars and to get plantlets with good developed leaves, suitable for acclimatization.
