ACCLIMATIZATION - EFFECTS OF REDUCED HUMIDITY IN VITRO
Reducing the humidity of Ptilotus in vitro shoot cultures increased plant survival after deflasking.
This was associated with modified leaf anatomy.
Survival was greater if roots were present at the time of deflasking.
Auxin in the in vitro medium promoted rooting and this promotion was enhanced by reduced humidity to give even greater survival.
