EFFECT OF FLAT CELL SIZE ON MICROCLIMATE INSIDE THE CANOPY AND PLANT GROWTH IN PLUG NURSERY PLANTS OF CHRYSANTHEMUM AND CARNATION
The growth and quality of plug nursery plant of chrysanthemum and carnation were influenced by flat cell size.
Plants in smaller cell-size flat had shorter stem length, less dry weight and more discolored leaves.
Flat cell size affected the microclimate inside the canopy and photosynthetically active radiation transmissivity through the canopy together with plant morphology.
The relation between the growth and quality of plug nursery plant and the microclimate inside the canopy was discussed.
