NITRITE DAMAGE IN LAMBS LETTUCE DUE TO STEAM STERILISATION OF GREENHOUSE SOIL

W. Koch
High nitrite concentrations in greenhouse soils due to steam sterilisation may cause damage in lambs lettuce. Addition of compost or bacterium preparation were both effective in reducing nitrite concentrations and thus reduced crop damage.
