INVESTIGATIONS OF RELIC PINUS SPECIES. II. THE ESSENTIAL OIL OF PINUS HELDREICHII
From the young shoots and cones of Pinus heldreichii, the essential oil was obtained by steam distillation of fresh material.
Physical contants for these oils were determined and their chemical characterization were performed by GC and GC-MS analysis.
It is interesting that both of examined oils did not contain - and
-pinene in concentrations that could be expected for the essential oil of one pine.
The second interesting fact pointed out by GC-MS analysis is remarkable difference in the content of limonene in the oil originated from different plant parts.
