NUTRIENT UPTAKE OF STRAWBERRY PLANTS (CV. ELSANTA) GROWN ON SUBSTRATE
Nutrient uptake by strawberries grown on bags was investigated during a spring culture in a plastic tunnel. The accumulation of macro- and micro-elements was determined at transplanting, vegetative growth stage, flowering, green fruit stage, and at the beginning and end of harvest. The nutrient ratio uptake changed during the different physiological stages. The crop produced 59.45 t/ha of strawberries and the export of macro-elements (per ha) 125 kg N, 40 kg P2O5, 190 kg K2O, 23 kg MgO and 78 kg CaO. The total micro-element content of the crop was 5 kg Fe, 1.4 kg Mn, 0.32 kg B, 0.15 kg Zn and 0.055 kg Cu.
