THE USE OF OLIVE MILLING WASTE-WATER FOR THE CULTURE OF MUSHROOMS ON PERLITE.
Olive Milling Waste-water (OMW) can be a suitable substrate for the cultivation of edible mushrooms of the genus Pleurotus under controlled conditions.
Good quality products are obtained, with an enriched content of soluble proteins.
At the same time OMW is detoxified and clarified.
