INFLUENCE OF SOILLESS CULTIVATION ON SOILBORNE DISEASES
The microbiological features of soilless substrates and their influence on diseases caused by soilborne pathogens are considered.
Examples of disease conduciveness and suppressiveness are given, referring to practical implications.
Disease management strategies to be adopted in soilless cultivation, such as adoption of cultural practices, use of suppressive substrates and introduction of biocontrol agents are considered.
