ECONOMICAL EVALUATION OF PRODUCTION AND MARKETING OF PROTECTED TOMATOES, PEPPERS AND EGGPLANTS IN TURKEY
This study is based on the data obtained from protected vegetable farms in the Mediterranean Region.
The structure of the farms is described and some steps to increase production are shown.
Marketing organizations, supply and price of the products to develop export potential were studied at the farmers' level.
Protected cultivation was compared with to field cultivation, where necessary, to elucidate some important cultivation characteristics in this sector. Some problems originating from production and marketing were also included in the study.
