CYTOCHEMICAL DETECTION OF DIFFERENT ESTERASE ACTIVITIES RELATED TO PHENOLICS SYNTHESIS AS A PREVENTION AGAINST HIGH LIGHT INTENSITY IN THE LICHEN CLADONIA VERTICILLARIS
The analysis of specific esterase activities by cytochemical and electrophoretical techniques has shown that there is a sutrate specificity in the cortex related to phenolics synthesis as a prevention against high light intensity.
