Basic climate data, particularly temperature and sun radiation, along with optimal water and nutrients supply, offer an opportunity for daily evaluation and dynamic simulation for open field tomato growing by integration of ecological factors with fundamental physiological transformation.

The results concerning the climate potential from five areas as well as those concerning breeding and development have underlined that the most potent suitable areas for tomato breeding are Câmpia Românã (Rumanian Plain) and Câmpia de Vest (West Plain) (Vidra, Isalnita, Buzau, Arad).

The measurement of daily production potential by "SIMTOM PRO" model could ease to give an evaluation onshort and long term by aid of the ecological potential of area and the qualities of the plant.
