RESULTS OF HAZEL GRAFTING ON TURKISH FILBERT (CORYLUS COLURNA L.)

This paper presents the technique of hazel grafting and the results nursery plants production of hazel cultivars Tonda gentile Romana, Rome, Ennis and Contorta, produced by English grafting onto Turkish filbert (Corylus colurna L.) from 1992 to 1994 Graft take for Tonda gentile Romana was 88.6% for Ennis 85.2% and for Rome 81.3%. Ornamental hazel Concorta is less compatible with Turkish filbert (25.2 %).
